:: Fanlisting

According to TFL, a fanlisting is "a place for all fans of a particular show, movie, actor, actress, singer, etc. to come together and build the biggest listing of people from all around the world who are fans of that subject.". So, it's just exactly what it says: a list of fans. Maybe you think it isn't a specially useful thing... But isn't something good showing to the world your devotion and love for a determinate character, actor, book or whatever? So, this is what you do when you join a fanlisting. And, of course, you can always have the chance to meet other people who like the same you do... and that's always a great thing :)

:: Why

When I say I'm movie-addicted, I mean it, really - I love *lots* of movies of many different genres and periods, so I've never been able to say, "this is my fav movie ever", because I honestly can't choose only one: they all have something special and unique for me. However, I think that no matter how many movies we like, we all have one we consider somehow special, for any reason - a movie that made us feel something different the first time we watched it, and after many years it still makes us feel the same way every time we watch it again. And well, my special movie has always been Ladyhawke, since I was a child... maybe because I'm a romantic after all, and I've always thought the story of Etienne and Isabeau is the most beautiful love story ever written (along with Beauty and the Beast, I must say... that story has been another one of my soft spots for years). Though I almost know the whole movie by heart now, it still nearly brings tears to my eyes every time I watch the end; I told you, I'm a romantic and also a bit of ain idiot, I can't help myself, that's the way I feel :)

Anyway... I've never been good at explaining how do I feel about things or people... the more I care about something, the more difficult it is to me to explain why. But I can tell you for sure that this movie touched my heart in a very special way and that's why, as the fanlisting lover I am, I nearly died of a heart attack when Halbarad let me adopt the fanlisting (I'll never be able to thank her enough for that <3), and now I'm so happy, and proud, to own it :)
