Kohaku (Amber)

Kohaku is, we could say, the main character in Wish. He's the angel with the most pure heart in heaven, so he's the responsible for bringing the little angels out from the eggs where they're born. Only an angel with a heart as pure as snow can sing so the angel babies can come out, and nobody else but Kohaku can do this job. God trusts him so much, and that's why he's the chosen one to go down to Earth and find Hisui when he disappears.

Kohaku is so caring and nice just because of what he is, an angel. However, he's much more innocent and sweet than Hisui... mainly because he's younger, I guess. He's always afraid of doing something that could hurt or annoy the others, specially Suuichirou... that's why he's always feeling he must apologize for everything he does ^^;

The world of our little Kohaku goes upside down the day he realizes he doesn't want to stay with Suuichirou just because the wish he must fulfill for him.. but because he has fallen in love with the young doctor. He must face an important decision... he should leave Heaven without God's consent to stay by Suuichirou's side, or go back to what has always been his home and forgive about who will be, as the angel he is, the only person he'll ever love...?

{ Kohaku & Hisui: Hisui cares so, so much about Kohaku. You'll have notices that the only moments when we see that Hisui isn't smiling is because he's worried about Kohaku - when he's in the past and they don't know if he'll be able to come back to the present, or when Suuichirou... dies. When Kohaku finds Hisui and Kokuyou and is so shocked to know the truth, Hisui feels bad just because Kohaku is sad for his fault, and he does his best to try to explain Kohaku that he has run away of heaven because he loves Kokuyou. Kohaku, who feels a great love and respect towards Hisui, understands Hisui must do that to be happy, and that in the end, that's the only thing that really matters.

Hisui is not the only one who realizes the true feelings Kohaku and Suuichirou have for each other, but I'm sure he's the first one to see it. Not only because he's the one who knows Kohaku better, but because he also knows how is to be in love with someone. And though everyone cares about Kohaku (Koryuu included ^.~), Hisui is the one who most wants Kohaku to be happy.

{ Kohaku & Kokuyou: at first, Kohaku is a little scared of Kokuyou (and who wouldn't be? He can be gorgeous and love Hisui so much, but he's still the son of the Devil! xD) But in the end he realizes that, if Hisui fell in love with him...is because he can't be that bad after all ^^; Kokuyou cares, in his own way, for Kohaku too. Specially because how much Hisui loves him... Kokuyou is a little more brusque and less affectionate than Hisui, but that doesn't mean he isn't worried about Kohaku when he realizes what's wrong with Suuichirou for example: he doesn't want him to suffer, and that's why he's always trying to talk with someone about "Suuichirou's problem", to see if they can find something to avoid what's going to happen.

Suuichirou Kudô

Suuichirou is one of those guys who own what we could call "an unreadable face". You never know what he's thinking, and actually it can seem he's always unhappy because he barely smiles... though in the end, he learns to smile thanks to Kohaku ^_~

He's a really practical person; he doesn't seem to believe at all in magic or fantastic creatures like angels and demons, because he says he doesn't want to believe in what he can't understand. That's why at first he thinks he's hallucinating when he sees that little roundy child with *wings* on the top of that tree: even when Kohaku tells him he's an angel he refuses to believe so. Until he sees Kohaku's transformation in the morning... along with a little demostration of Kohaku's angelic powers ^^U

Though he's deadly serious always, Suuichirou is a good and kind person. All the children in the hospital adore him, and that, from my point of view, is an unmistakable sign that he has a good heart ^^ Just that he doesn't seem to want to show up his feelings... until he realizes what he feels for Kohaku.

{ Suuichirou and Hisui: Suuichirou does a really nice gesture offering his house to Kokuyou and Hisui. He does so partly because he sees they're important to Kohaku, but also because he's a good person and can't abandon them to the hostile world without doing anything to help... even when, though Kohaku knows them both, they are still complete strangers to him - one of them being even a demon, a really powerful demon ^^ Anyway, Hisui is always so nice with Shuuchirou, and takes care of the house wonderfully (specially cooking delicious meals for everyone), and I'm sure is mostly because he's trying to thank him for his kindness. But at the same time, Hisui cares so much for Shuuichirou also because, as the angel he is, he sees the good, warm heart that hides beneath Suuichirou's though surface. And is the first one to realize and understand, even when it isn't still that obvious, the way Suuichirou and Kohaku feel for each other. I guess that, as Hisui feels so protective towards Kohaku... he can't help but feel that Suuichirou is the right person for Kohaku, the person who will make Kohaku happy as Kokuyou has made with himself ^^

{ Suuichirou and Kokuyou: It's obvious that Suuichirou resembles so much Kokuyou... and it isn't a coincidence at all, or that's why I've always thought. I've always been convinced that this resemblance has something to do with the fact that Kokuyou is the only one who seems to notice what's wrong with Suuichirou since the very beginning. I mean, I knowthat just demons can sense those things, but Koryuu couldn't, and Hari and Ruri couldn't either. And I'm not sure if it's just because Kokuyou is more powerful than them or it's because something else...

Suuichirou and Kokuyou don't interact a lot with each other, anyway. Suuichirou isn't very talkative and Kokuyou just is really affectionate with Hisui... but we could say they get along well, anyway ^^;

Koryuu (Red Garnet)

Koryuu is, actually, Kokuyou's cousin ^^ He's a beautiful young demon who loves, above anything else in this world, bullying poor Kohaku... he's been doing that for a long time, and even more now that they're both down on Earth... because Koryuu, though maybe he won't admit it if you ask him, is so jealous of Kohaku and Suuichirou ^^; He even tries to get Suuihcirou's attention... failing in the attempt, of course. But still, he tries to do his best to screw up any romantic moments between them, because he doesn't want Kohaku to be happy ^^U

Koryuu isn't evil *evil*, though. Of course we can't forget he's a demon, so he *can't* be good at all! But deep inside (really deep inside, anyway) he cares about Kohaku. A little ^^;; When God states that Kohaku will have to be in his chibi form (that is, without any of his angelic powers) for a hundred years, while Hisui has been only deprived of his archangel status... Koryuu gets so, so angry because he thinks that's absolutely unfair. Maybe Hari and Ruri aren't that wrong when they say Koryuu maybe felt something else for Kohaku, and that's why he couldn't stand seeing him with Suuichirou... ^^;;;

{ Koryuu and Hisui: Koryuu doesn't know a lot about Hisui before actually meeting him, and actually, they don't interact a lot either. At first, he's shocked to see Kokuyou is going out with the wind archangel, but he accepts his presence quickly... Partly because he wouldn't dare to say a word against Kokuyou's mate, but also because Hisui is so, so nice that it's impossible to don't get along well with him ^^

{ Koryuu and Kokuyou: Reading between lines (or not at all, is quite obvious actually) we can get to know Koryuu and Kokuyou have shared some intimate moments in the past. A more or less serious relationship? Innocent cousin games? ^^;;; Anyway, it's past now, and it doesn'tseem to matter anymore. Now Kokuyou is more like a big brother to Koryuu, having always a close eye on him because he knows of Koryuu's mischievous nature ^^ And Koryuu actually respects (or even fears?) Kokuyou so much. Because he's older, more powerful... and the son of the Devil himself, after all.

Hari (glass) & Ruri (lapis lazuli)

Hari and Ruri are two twin demon girls who, during the day, have the appearance of two cute little black cats. We could say they "work" for Koryuu, and they both do a really good job spying and gossiping about anything and anyone (Koryuu included). Actually they are, more or less, in love with him... in a playful way, though. They'd like to be Koryuu's lovers, though I'm not sure of they'd agree to share him ^_~ But for now, it's good for them to play a little with him from time to time ^^;

Hari and Ruri are themselves the most important hint for us to notice what's happening with Suuichirou... they say more than once how good they feel when they're near him. They don't realize that's because they feel Suuichirou is going to die anytime soon... and we, the readers, maybe don't realize that either, but once you read it, you see it was quite obvious.

{ Hari, Ruri & Hisui: If Koryuu and Hisui don't interact a lot with each other, Hari and Ruri do even less. Though Hisui is always so nice to them (in contrast to Kokuyou, who's always so rough ^^U), so they get along with him pretty well.

{ Hari, Ruri & Kokuyou: Hari and Ruri think Kokuyou is so hot and I'm sure they wouldn't mind to have an affair with him *cough* ^^U But at the same time, they are a little afraid of him... and it's understandable, I guess ^^;;
