Forever Love is a beautiful ballad by the Japanese rock band X-Japan. Is specially known for being the ending theme in the X/1999 movie, based in the popular manga series by CLAMP.

As for the movie soundtrack, I'm not sure but I guess there are two versions of it... the first one (released in August 1996), from what I've found, didn't include Forever Love in the tracklist neither the original version or the karaoke version. But there is a second version, maybe a re-release or something, that included both versions of the song as the 24th and 25th tracks, respectively.
